Taekwondo-Worlds of Baku: The ivorian Cissé Cheick crunches gold

More than 6 years after winning the gold medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Cissé Cheick Sallah Junior won the crown in the (+87 kg) category at the 26th world championship in Baku.

Since 1973, Côte d’Ivoire has been chasing consecration in this civil competition. Well it’s done in 40 years of participation. This thanks to the only Ivorian Olympic champion. Mr. Cissé Cheick Sallah Junior!

Arrived in the semi-finals without the slightest hitch, the talent from the bowels of the Koumassi League beat the Croatian Pasco Bosic before offering himself in the final the Mexican Carlos Sansores this Sunday, June 4th. Cissé Cheick Sallah Junior thus sleeps in Baku another beautiful line of its glorious history.

Named best athlete of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and elected President of the World Committee of Male Athletes, Cissé Cheick Sallah Junior had an exquisite week in Baku.
